The calculator counts each calendar day in the interval. You will see total days (hundreds or thousands for long spans), how many full weeks that is plus extra days, and a breakdown such as “2 years, 9 months, 29 days” depending on the exact dates. Use this for project length, time since an event, or verifying a lease term.
Total days vs. years, months, and days
Total days is a simple day count—good for “how many days between.” The calendar difference walks month lengths the way people describe durations (“two years and three months”). The two views answer different questions; both are shown so you do not have to convert manually.
This page does not exclude weekends or holidays. For workday-only counts you need a business-day calculator with a holiday calendar; here every calendar day counts.
Date difference vs. days until vs. age
Use date difference when you have two specific dates. Use the days until calculator when you care about one target day from a start (often today)—wording like “countdown to.” Use the age calculator when the start is a birth date and you want years/months/days old plus birthday extras. We show the absolute day count and label reversed order. Swap dates if you prefer forward counting.

How many weeks between two dates?
Whole weeks from total days ÷ 7, plus extra days. ISO week numbers for each date are listed separately.
